James Janowski

Investor Relations Director (NY)


James joined Altum in April 2016 and is responsible for investor relations and supporting the marketing effort. Prior to Altum, he was an Assistant Vice President at Morgan Stanley 2011-2015 within the Alternative Investments Group, in sales and investor relations, collaborating with third party asset managers and the firm’s top producing wealth advisors to incorporate alternative investment allocations into institutional, high net worth, and ultra-high net worth individual portfolios. James started his career in 2008 as an Associate to the General Partner of Hambletonian Partners, L.P., a fundamental long/short equity fund in New York. In 2010, James joined Citi Alternative Investments, a division of Smith Barney, providing the firm’s private bankers and wealth advisors with middle office support, as a product lead Investor Services Associate. James obtained a BS degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.

Michael Marano

Marketing Associate (NY)


Michael joined Altum in February of 2024 and is responsible for marketing the firm's investment offerings and developing relationships with institutional investors. Most recently, he was an Associate with Bright Harbor Advisors, a private fund placement agent where he was responsible for investor coverage throughout North America. Previously, Michael was an Investor Relations Associate with OneWall Communities, where he was involved in fundraising efforts for the firm's managed funds, and joint venture real estate acquisitions. There, he assisted in raising capital from institutional investors as well as private wealth clients and oversaw investor relations functions. Prior, Michael worked with TritonLake, a boutique placement agent that assists fund managers in raising capital for emerging managers from the RIA and private wealth channel. Michael began his career in the wealth management field and held roles in real estate acquisitions. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University.

Alex Okrent

Marketing Associate (UK)


Alex joined Altum in July of 2024 and is responsible for marketing the firm’s investment offerings and developing and managing relationships with prospective investors in Europe, Switzerland, and the UK. Prior to joining Altum, Alex began her career in 2018 as part of the Business Development team at TwentyFour Asset Management. There, she supported business development activities through marketing, capital raising, reporting and investor relations efforts. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Management (Finance) from University College London and a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business, Finance and Economics at the University of Manchester.

Julia DiRubbo

Marketing Associate (NY)


Julia joined Altum in April of 2024 and is responsible for marketing the firm’s investment offerings and developing and managing relationships with prospective investors. Prior to Altum, Julia was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management where she implemented strategies for the firm’s wealth advisors to modernize, strengthen and grow their books of business. Julia began her career as a healthcare and long-term care analyst at Levin Associates, researching and writing about M&A trends in those sectors. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University.

Ferenc Sanderson

Senior Marketing Consultant


Ferenc joined Altum in April 2024 and is involved in the business development and marketing effort. Prior to Altum, he was Executive Advisor for the Emerging Manager Program at FinCity, Tokyo. Ferenc has represented various hedge fund managers across different asset classes trading liquid and illiquid instruments in global fundraising and COO roles. Prior to that, he co-led fund research at Lipper and was Director of Research for the Alternative Investment Group at Daiwa Securities America. He started his career as a euro Yen bond trader with Merrill Lynch. Previously, Ferenc was a Research Fellow attached to Columbia Business School and holds a BSc in economics from the LSE and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
